Abubakar Isiyaku was arrested for fraudulent practices and impersonation as he disguises as a female to dupe people on Facebook. He opened a Facebook account with the username Hajia Fatima Mohmammed which he uses to chat with his victims.

He lied to the victim that his mother was ill and need N500,000 for treatment in Saudi Arabia. The victim loaned him the money.

To gain his trust, he called his victim with a purported Saudi Arabian phone number, demanding for N500,000 more which the victim also gave him.

He met his waterloo after his father was purportedly arrested by EFCC. The victim revealed that a total of N1,500,000 was given to the accused so far.

The EFCC Kaduna Zonal Office, arrraigned before Justice Mohammed Yahaya of the State High Court Kano on a one count charge  Criminal Breach of Trust and Obtaining by False Pretence.
